Welcome
We are the proud parents and families of exceptional children and recognize the
extraordinary challenges, time, and effort that they present. As families with
exceptional children we tend to have fewer natural opportunities for spontaneous
connections with other parents because our children are not as easily included in
typical settings. Our vision of the group is a place where parents and kids can
connect, make new friends and help support each other. We can share experiences,
exchange information and pool resources. We all struggle with the experiences
presented by our unique and exceptional kids and we can help each other.
If you know of other families that should be included please help spread the word.

Next Meeting Invitation
For our next meeting, Nancy Ventrudo will be on hand to discuss and answer questions about IEPs and advocating for our children. Nancy is the Peak Mentor for the NW Region of the Peak Parent Center (www.peakparent.org). The mission of PEAK Parent Center is to provide training, information and technical assistance to equip families of children birth through twenty-six including all disability conditions with strategies to advocate successfully for their children. As a result of PEAK’s services to families and professionals, children and adults with disabilities will live rich, active lives participating as full members of their schools and communities.
Children will be welcome to attend and childcare will be provided. Help ensure adequate childcare providers so our children have a successful experience by RSVPing.
If you know of other families that should be included please help spread the word.
